What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter/Fabricator position at Edge Outdoors?
A fitter/fabricator is currently needed for a position in an industrial shop. If you have three of MIG & Flux Core Welding and Fitting expertise, we would like to schedule a weld test for you. Every applicant should be able to read blueprints.
Fitter/Welders Responsibilities:
- Requires knowledge of layout, fabrication, fit, and welding.
- using shop drawings, sketches, and blueprints understanding of standard shop welding and fabrication tools.
- It is necessary to read sectional views of prints as well as metric and standard prints.
- understanding of welding and fabrication tools used in typical shops.
- Use forklifts, drill presses, overhead cranes, and other tools of the same nature.
- Weld in various positions as shown by the prints.
Fitter/Welders Requirements:
- 4 years of verifiable experience
- Reliable transportation to and from job site is a must
- Welding certifications are a plus but not a requirement
