EDGE is a nonprofit that brings together Northeast Ohio CEOs and leaders to exchange knowledge and experience. In 2024, EDGE merged with MAGNET, developing new synergies with a larger industry partner - thus "EDGE Powered by MAGNET." MAGNET is a nonprofit focused on supporting the growth of Northeast Ohio manufacturing companies through engineering services, operational excellence and sales and marketing consulting, and talent development programming.
Role Description
This is a full-time (40-hours per week) hybrid internship role where students work in teams of two with the support of experienced business mentors to help companies explore and validate growth opportunities. The intern will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary market research, utilizing analytical skills and communicating findings and insights, researching relevant industry trends, managing weekly meetings with mentors and with company leaders, writing a comprehensive report and presenting actionable recommendations. The role is based in Cleveland, OH, with some work from home flexibility as well as weekly in-person meetings around Northeast Ohio. The ten-week program runs from the end of May through July. The Research Fellows Program offers opportunities for students to build a network of peers, attend curated events, work on meaningful projects and network with industry professionals.
Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Writing skills
- Experience in conducting research and analyzing data
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Access to reliable transportation is important.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related field as well as students with technical skills.
- Preference given to graduate-level student. Will consider rising undergraduate juniors and seniors.
