Accounting Manager
Edge Tax & Accounting is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our clients. The Accounting Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients and to preform the tasks required to ensure compliance and accuracy with accounting and tax standards. Develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new account opportunities. Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with clients, maintaining the client’s complete financial needs including Accounting, Payroll and Tax issues.
This position requires complete commitment and acceptance of responsibility to create 100% client satisfaction as you deliver a seamless integration of results on a day to day basis. Ideally, candidates for this role will know how to meet and exceed client expectations, have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation and be prepared to be successful and committed to long term personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned clients matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to clients
- Develop new business with existing clients and create new account opportunities
- Prepare reports on account status
- Collaborate with team members to identify and grow opportunities
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate professionally and present accurate financial data
- Work fluently with Microsoft Office, email, Windows operating systems, and PCs Experience delivering client-focused solutions to client needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field
- QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience with multiple business types
- Payroll experience
- Tax preparation experience
