Hardware Test Engineer (PCBA)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Test Engineer with a strong background
in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) testing. In this role, you will be responsible for
developing, implementing, and optimizing testing methodologies for hardware components and
systems to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement test plans and procedures for PCBA hardware
validation.
Conduct functional, environmental, and stress testing on hardware components and
assemblies.
Create automated test scripts and routines for efficient and repeatable testing
processes.
Analyze test data and results to identify performance trends and potential hardware
issues.
Troubleshoot PCBA and system-level hardware failures to identify root causes.
Work with design and production teams to implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and hardware performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, software, and
manufacturing engineers, to ensure alignment on test strategies and product
requirements.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing test processes and equipment.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of PCBA design, assembly, and testing processes.
Proficient in test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and
signal generators.
Experience with automated test development and scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW,
MATLAB).
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance (e.g., IPC, JEDEC, FCC, etc.).
Hands-on experience with debugging tools and methodologies for electronic circuits.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware testing, with a focus on PCBA.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field.
Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Testability (DFT).
Program Manager abilities to oversee and deliver project timelines, deliverables, and
budgets to ensure successful execution.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and manufacturing, to
align project objectives and deliverables.
