Maintenance Mechanic IV (Heating/Air Conditioning (HVAC))
- High School diploma or GED required. CFC/EPA Certification necessary.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in HVAC maintenance.
- Familiarity with various types of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment is essential.
- A working knowledge of standard tools is required.
- Computer literacy expected.
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, exerting 30 pounds frequently or constantly.
- Prolonged exposure to uncontrolled environments may involve hot/cold temperatures, high noise/vibration levels, smoke, dust, and other hazards.
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Job Goal: Install and maintain all air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a neat appearance, courteous behavior, and work harmoniously with school and Facility Services personnel.
- Participate in additional training provided by the Board of Education or community college relevant to this field.
- Help install and perform routine maintenance on air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment.
- Learn and maintain air filter replacement schedules.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Salary: Classified Salary Schedule, Pay Grade M-62 ($32620.76/year)
Terms of Employment: 12 months
Evaluation: Semi-annual evaluations using the district's evaluation instrument.
