JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: In-School Suspension (ISS) Program Facilitator
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma required, Two-year degree preferred;
2. Demonstrated organizational and computer skills;
3. Good communication skills;
4. Successful experience working with at-risk students.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: Provide support for and ensure the safety and well-being of students assigned to the ISS program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the daily school site program planning and operations;
- Keeps statistical data, records, and evaluations on students assigned;
- Maintains a disciplined and safe environment;
- Communicates with the students' teachers when there is a need for additional help with assignments;
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of classroom;
- Maintain positive working relationship with school staff and parents/guardians;
- Assist students in writing a behavioral plan to correct innappropriate behavior;
- Encourages students to remain on task;
- Substitutes at alternate work stations, as required;
- Participates in staff development to enhance instructional and management;
- Provides other such dutie, which may be assigned.
SALARY: Edgecombe County Public Schools Classified Salary Schedule
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months, or as determined by funding/program needs
EVALUATION: Annually, Classified Personnel, Appraisal Instrument
