The Senior Sales Director will be a vital member of the sales team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who can position Edged Data Centers to be a strategic partner to the channel/broker community and sell data center solutions. Key Responsibilities
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Sales to lead our North American sales efforts with specific focus on developing our large enterprise business working in conjunction with channel/broker partners. This strategic sales role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building and nurturing client relationships, and shaping the strategic direction of our pursuit of targeted customers/partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales/GTM strategy documented in a plan to drive new business and revenue growth with and through defined partners.
- Lead all stages of business acquisition beginning with relationship management and tracking all the way through lease execution.
- Drive the overall strategy for our broker/channel focus.
- Lead sales pursuits associated with the targeted partners.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Position Edged Data Centers as a market leader in hyperscale data centers through targeted marketing, thought leadership, and effective communication.
- Provide feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement in product offerings and service delivery.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain all customer contact plans.
- Build and maintain business relationships with customer organizations, including senior leadership, Site selection, Legal, Finance, and Tax departments.
- Build and maintain technical relationships with customer organizations: Site Selection, Engineering, Construction, Security, Network Engineering
- Gain customer acceptance by gaining and demonstrating a firm understanding of their business/operations.
Sales and Revenue:
- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
- Meet or exceed all defined sales goals and ensure consistent quota attainment.
Internal Collaboration:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal cross functional teams, including Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance and Operations.
- Communicates with team members to keep up to date with daily issues and activities.
Lease and Contract Management:
- Act as a point of contact for lease reviews, negotiations, and channel/partner agreements.
- Manage all aspects of the sales pursuit, including signal creation, RFP management, solution development, lease creation/negotiation, and executive reporting.
- Identify and pursue new data center/colocation opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansions
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years of sales experience in the data center or related technology industry, with specific experience in developing channel/broker programs.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and driving substantial new sales and revenue growth with large organizations.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with large organizations including data center leases.
- Deep understanding of hyperscale data center solutions, market dynamics, and client needs in North America.
- Depp relationships with the channel/broker community focused on the data center segment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

The United States targeted base salary pay range for this position is: $180,000-$230,000 bonus (this range will vary by location)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, location, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
