Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations of patients to assess their medical needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide long-term care and support for patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions.
- Assist in the care of toddlers and pediatric patients when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in emergency situations, utilizing ER experience as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services within the nursing home or assisted living settings.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical unit is preferred; experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law is advantageous for managing related cases.
- Proficiency in gastric lavage techniques is beneficial for certain patient populations.
- Experience in travel nursing may be considered an asset, providing flexibility and adaptability to various healthcare settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.

Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
