Job Description:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, spinal taps, and ostomy care.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop health coaching strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
- Manage pain effectively through appropriate interventions and support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care in acute settings.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospice palliative medicine is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in acute care nursing with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Strong skills in pain management and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with nursing practices.
