Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse will utilize their clinical expertise and strong communication skills to deliver exceptional care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic technique.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and health management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Perform various nursing procedures such as IV insertion, ostomy care, gastric lavage, and trauma medicine as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Previous experience in a medical-surgical setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and familiarity with systems used in patient care.
• Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, trauma medicine, senior care, and toddler care.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
