Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including home care and travel nursing. You will play a vital role in monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene and mobility.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Assist in the management of patients with developmental disabilities.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in emergency response situations, particularly in ER settings or Level II Trauma Centers.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Experience in home care or travel nursing is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with working in an ER or Level II Trauma Center is a plus.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic nursing procedures.
- Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Ability to handle various patient needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
