Our Physical Therapist (PT) is a professional member of our healthcare team, who supports Edgerton Hospital by:
- Providing leadership and direction to the patient care team.
- Offers specialized physical therapy services to patients including evaluation and development of a plan of care which includes individualized treatment strategies.
- Managing, organizing, and providing direct patient care, incorporating clinical decision making and the prioritization of activities.
- Educating the patient's family and other health care team members by incorporating health maintenance, disease process, and discharge planning.
- Being responsible for the supervision of other staff, such as Physical Therapist Assistants and affiliating students.
Training & Experience
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin, or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure
- Membership in professional group or organization is encouraged.
- BLS prior to independent patient care.
Preferences
- Preference will be given to candidates comfortable in evaluating and treating patients within inpatient, swing-bed rehab, and outpatient settings.
- Preference will be given to candidates available to work during the work week and weekends.
