This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team within a well-established company expanding in the captive medical stop loss insurance, self-funding and employer sponsored health plan solution ecosystem. Support current legal department in various legal and compliance matters and initiatives, and contract drafting, review and negotiation for Captive Resources' Health Solutions (HS) business segment.
We are looking for someone who is collaborative and a team player with an entrepreneurial mindset. We welcome colleagues who see what needs to be done to improve the department and company and recommend and implement change under the supervision of current counsel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : JD from an accredited law school and license to practice law in Illinois. 3-5 years of experience in the medical stop loss or group health insurance industry with general in-house corporate work, corporate governance, vendor oversight and contract review experience preferred.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS :
- Strong understanding of the medical stop loss and health insurance sectors.
- Ability to understand department directives and negotiate contracts with third parties to achieve the same.
- Provides pragmatic solutions as an advisor and business partner to executive leadership on legal and commercial issues.

- Team-oriented and collaborative; also takes the initiative and works well independently.
- Organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure at times.
