What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Edgewater Beach and Cabana Club?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, energetic, and hard-working individual to join our team as a Lifeguard! The responsibilities of Lifeguards at our beach club contain ensuring the safety of guests at our pool facility. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth, fun, development, and solid working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool area to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Provide excellent guest service by assisting with inquiries, providing information, and addressing concerns
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary
- Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and testing water quality
- Assist with pool setup and breakdown for events or activities
- Attend regular training sessions to maintain lifeguard certification
Requirements:
- Must be a certified Lifeguard with current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues in various situations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or sitting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with working in previous lifeguarding environments, but this can also be developed through training!
- Knowledge of pool chemicals and water treatment procedures
