Summary:
Provide amazing guest service while taking, retrieving, and serving food and beverage orders to guest tables according to venue specifications in a professional courteous and efficient manner and complete side work.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Present menus to guests and uses suggestive selling techniques to sell appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, specialty items, desserts, and wine.
- Maintain knowledge of all restaurant menu options and answers guests’ questions about the menu.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensures accurate entry and delivery of the order.
- Meet all service standards, such as performing a satisfaction check within two minutes of the guest receiving food orders and within four minutes of a guest receiving a cocktail order.
- Ensure that all food is served within health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Total guest bills, presents them to guests in a timely manner and obtains full payment along with appropriate paperwork, such as signed credit card slips, comps, etc.
- Ensure tables are always well maintained.
- Maintain tables in the assigned station as needed and according to restaurant.
- Attends training classes required by management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant preferred
- Basic knowledge of wine and liquor and wine service techniques
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
