Work Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM with the potential for The work location for this position is telework and is located in Los Alamos. Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

The selected candidate will report to the Controller Disbursements (CNTL-DISB) Group Team Leader and will support the group mission by; reviewing and processing subcontractor invoices to ensure costs are paid in accordance with the subcontract requirements of moderate complexity; will provide invoice review services that include verification that costs are accurate, properly supported and otherwise allowable; will communicate with subcontractors, subcontract specialists, project managers and technical requesters to discuss/resolve invoice and payment issues.
Minimum Job Requirements
Accounting Experience
Demonstrated experience working with contracts and subcontracts processes and requirements; demonstrated knowledge of various contract types including time and materials, labor hours and cost reimbursement; knowledge in identifying performance deficiencies and recommending strategies, procedures, and implementing, improving and enhancing functionality; Knowledge and experience in accounting, accounts payable bookkeeping or similar; Knowledge of the application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); interpretation and application of financial policies and procedures and performing self-assessments; Knowledge of governmental financial accounting, in accordance to federal laws governing accounting procedures and systems.

Knowledge and experience researching, gathering, analyzing data, summarizing results, resolving problems and issues both independently and as a team member.
Customer Service, Organization, Teamwork and Dependability
