This position is a full time, in-office position with the following responsibilities and requirements:
- Prepares timely and accurate monthly invoices
- Calculates individual items such as labor, material, and time costs according to company policy
- Examines records such as time and production sheets, payrolls, operations charts and schedules, to obtain data for calculations
- Enter all relevant data into accounting software and computes amounts due for invoicing, approval and record keeping
- Tracks invoices to ensure timely payments
- Drafts and distributes electronic/hard copy data as necessary
- Other minor or incidental duties/responsibilities may be as assigned as it relates to the nature of the position and company's corporate business office as needed
- BA/BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Contracts or closely related curriculum.
- Two years of experience in a professional office environment with a concentration in billing and costing responsibilities desired but not required with degree in accounting.
- Experience with Quickbooks accounting software a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office suite notably Excel.
- Must be extremely detail oriented and accurate.
- Must be comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills (written/email and verbal) are required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience supporting a government contracting company; knowledge of reading and interpreting various types of government contracts.
- Experience with travel expense reports.
- Experience with Costpoint accounting software.
