Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Remote Technical Editor/Procedure Writer opportunity to support Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) in Richland, WA
SCOPE OF WORK
This position will provide support to Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) Procedures organization, which shall encompass all aspects of procedure development, including but not limited to assisting in the development of new procedures, conducting editorial, minor and revision changes, performing procedure cancellation processes and assisting in periodic reviews. The Procedure System (PS) shall be used to initiate, modify, update, review, approve and publish procedures. Documents include Charters, Guidance Documents, Management Directives, Management Plans, Policies, Procedures (including administrative, technical, and emergency response), Requirements Documents and Standards.
Required Qualifications
This position will be primarily remote (within 50 miles of the Hanford Site), with the ability to attend meetings onsite as requested. Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consists of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday. Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and/or approved through the BTR and/or the contract Specialist prior to performing the work.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $80,000 to $115,000 (DOE) annually.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at a minimum of five (5) years technical writing & editing experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills and software to include Microsoft Office Azure (create, store & retrieve), Word, Outlook, and Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Access and/or Visio.
- Technical editing background with companywide/requirements/contract implementation level 1 procedures.
- Current PPA certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
- Prior Experience with IDMS, Access, and/or Visio
- Ability to utilize manufacturer instructions/ manuals to generate new PMs for engineer review.
- Experience working with mobile devices such as laptops and/or computer peripherals.
- Experience working in a virtual telework environment.
- Prior Hanford site experience
