General Job Description:
- Manage specific assigned projects and special efforts by the HR department.
- Oversee administration of the Human Resources information system (HRIS), including supervision of employees responsible for data entry related to all aspects of employment.
- Coordinate key activities with Payroll, Benefits, Staffing, and Compensation.
- Oversee administration of employment separations, exit questionnaires, service award program, educational assistance program, HR department budget, contingent staffing contract, cafeteria contract, bus contract, and other business activities.
- Advise management in development, application, and interpretation of labor relations policies, practices, and terms of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
- Investigate and resolve grievances. Serve as the Company’s lead in arbitration of grievances.
- Monitor implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions to ensure compliance with terms of the CBAs.
- Serve as management lead and subject matter expert in CBA negotiations.
- Represent management in general employee relations as well as investigation of concerns and disciplinary matters as assigned.
- Work may require occasional travel and nights/weekend duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-15 years HR experience
- Experience working in labor relations and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
