Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Procedures Technical Editor/ Writer opportunity to support Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) in Richland, WA.

SCOPE OF WORK
This position will provide support to the Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) Procedures organization, which shall encompass all aspects of procedure development, including but not limited to assisting in the development of new procedures, conducting editorial, minor, and revision changes, performing procedure cancellation processes, and assisting in periodic reviews. The Procedure System (PS) shall be used to initiate, modify, update, review, approve, and publish procedures. Documents include Charters, Guidance Documents, Management Directives, Management Plans, Policies, Procedures (including administrative, technical, and emergency response), Requirements Documents, and Standards.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at a minimum of five (5) years technical writing & editing experience (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills and software to include Microsoft Office, Azure (create, store & retrieve), Word, Outlook, and Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Access, and/or Visio.
  • Technical editing background with companywide/requirements/contract implementation level 1 procedures.
  • Current PPA certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • Prior Experience with IDMS, Access, and/or Visio
  • Ability to utilize manufacturer instructions/ manuals to generate new PMs for engineer review.
  • Experience working with mobile devices such as laptops and/or computer peripherals.
  • Experience working in a virtual telework environment.
  • Prior Hanford site experience

Site Access and Work Hours
This position will be primarily on-site, with the ability to telework occasionally or as needed. Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consists of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday. Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and/or approved through the BTR and/or the contract Specialist prior to performing the work.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $80,000 to $115,000 (DOE) annually.
