Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Records Management Specialist opportunity in Carlsbad, NM.
Position Overview:
Supports implementation of Records Management Organization’s requirements and procedures regarding the creation, receipt, approval, processing, distribution, use, configuration control, storage, retrieval, retention, and disposition of electronic and hard copy sensitive, but unclassified documents and records. Upload documents into the Electronic Documents and Records Management System and establish relationships in support of configuration management. Participates in and/or leads efforts associated with migrations, or enhancements of the electronic records management program. Helps to resolve issues that require the frequent use of creativity and analysis of situations or data that requires in-depth evaluation using variable factors and research.
Job Duties:
- Maintains required safety and security training, assures safety and security compliance, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
- Demonstrated understanding of Records Management regulations and drivers and methods to ensure compliance.
- Managing Records throughout their lifecycle process:
o Processing programmatic documents and records.
o Ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and standards.
o Providing guidance and recommendations to customer organizations on procedures and processes.
- Fosters a mutually respectful and inclusive work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
- Develop positive customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Wide range of computer skills to include implementation of requirements or enhancements for Records Management-related applications.
- Ability to solve issues or problems based on experience, professional concepts, and organizational objectives.
- Ability to deliver clear and concise communications to employees and managers of all levels.
- Experience using Records Management tools.
- Ability to work in a configuration management environment.
