Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Subject Matter Expert 3 (Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene) opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Per diem is available for those who qualify.
Work Location: Hybrid – remote with occasional site visits to be set by reporting manager. Travel required.
Schedule: 9/80 B schedule
Clearance: Must be able to obtain
and maintain “Q” clearance and HRP.
Dealbreakers:
No DOE experience, no experience supporting D&D work. No experience in a DOE CAT II Nuclear Facility.

Summary:
Manages and directs the daily tasks required to perform ongoing support of design, construction, startup, and/or operations/ maintenance activities of complex high technology systems or projects. Renders expert opinions on engineering and technical issues, provides recommendations to project design, proper controls, and works with construction teams in specific areas of expertise. Provides independent reviews and assessments in areas of specialized expertise and provides guidance to project teams in delivering results on projects of complex, high-technology nature. Interfaces with management personnel and customer representatives. Develops and enforces work standards, assigns schedules, reviews work quality, and communicates goals, objectives, and policies of the organization to subordinates. Provides leadership for the project team, coordinates with the functional organizations, and supervises senior Personnel within the project organization.
Education/Experience:
Master's degree in Engineering, Science or Business Management. Twelve (12 years) of directly applicable experience in a specialized technical field and is acknowledged as an expert in the specific area of Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene.
