Position Summary :
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer is a change agent, challenging organizational leaders to see opportunities & drive continuous improvements and remove barriers to progress. This position plays an important role in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation. Repsonsible for defining, designing and implementing continuous improvement programs, as well as ensuring the programs are successfully integrated across the plant and strong strong workforce engagement is built.
Essential Functions :
- Identify, define, and champion improvement projects aligned with the business strategies. Analyze improvement programs and results.
- Facilitate problem solving and improvement-based events focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and eliminating waste.
Drive process capability improvements through variation reduction, error-proofing, and implementation of statistical process controls; includes gathering and analyzing data to identify and prioritize opportunities such as pareto and process capability
Execute lean manufacturing initiatives including set-up reduction, workplace organization, standardized work, process / workflow improvements, visual management, and inventory reduction.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Quality or related field) required
3 years of work experience leading and utilizing lean and six sigma tools, including 5S and Kaizen required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Relationships :
The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
