Social Media Coordinator – Edgewood Summer Camp
Location: On-Site at Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, NJ
Position Type: Seasonal
Camp Duration: June 16 – August 30 (Must commit to at least 10 weeks)
Hours Available: Part-Time (10 - 15 hours per week)
Pay Type: Hourly and will commensurate with experience
About Edgewood Summer Camp
Edgewood Summer Camp, located on the scenic grounds of Edgewood Golf & Recreation, provides an engaging summer experience for children ages 4-12. Our program emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, creativity, and fun through a variety of activities, including sports, arts, yoga, and special events.
Position Overview
Edgewood Summer Camp is seeking a creative and organized Social Media Coordinator to manage its Instagram presence and capture the energy of camp life. This role is ideal for a college student interested in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management. Responsibilities include photographing and filming camp activities, creating engaging posts, and producing a weekly recap video to share with camp families. Applicants must submit a portfolio or samples of past social media content.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Edgewood Summer Camp’s Instagram account with engaging content.
- Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of camp activities, special events, and daily interactions.
- Create and schedule posts, write compelling captions, and incorporate relevant hashtags.
- Develop a weekly recap video highlighting key moments to share with camp families.
- Collaborate with camp staff to ensure content aligns with the camp’s brand and
- messaging.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages professionally.
- Assist in creating promotional content to increase camp awareness.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Currently enrolled in college, preferably studying marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Instagram and social media trends.
- Excellent photography and videography skills, including editing for social media.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to craft compelling visual stories.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to camp guidelines and branding.
- Passion for camp life and working with children.
