What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monument & Headstone Salesperson position at Edgewood Monuments?
Who are we looking for?
- A motivated individual ready to help families during their time of need with their headstone selection
What will you do in this position?
- Work with individuals and companies in the sale of monuments and related products
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner
- Initiate and follow-up with customers to recommend, sell, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns
- Coordinate with customers, outside agencies, and our inhouse production/design team
Pay:
- Hourly Pay: $20-30 per hour
- Commission

- Earn 1 hour of paid time off for every 20 hours worked
- Earn 1 hour of sick time off for every 40 hours worked
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9am - 5pm
- Occasional overtime required for Saturday appointments
Requirements:
- Previous retail or commission sales required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills (ie. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle available at all times
Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Independent and self-motivated; thrives without the need for constant supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in sales ability
- Fluent in a foreign language (Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, Samoan, etc.)
- Monument, memorial, and sign making or selling experience
