Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for driving brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue generation through the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies. This role’s primary focus is managing all external marketing agencies, ensuring that creative, media, and PR partners deliver high-impact campaigns aligned with the resort’s luxury brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main liaison for all external marketing agencies, including creative, digital, PR, and media buying partners.
- Develop clear, strategic briefs and ensure alignment between agency deliverables and resort objectives.
- Review and approve agency concepts, assets, timelines, and reporting, ensuring on-brand execution.
- Monitor agency performance and ROI, making recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
- Lead recurring meetings with agency teams to maintain alignment and momentum.
- Directly manage the Marketing Manager and indirectly oversee the Marketing Specialist.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to support team growth and development.
- Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of key deliverables and deadlines.
- Collaborate with Sales, Events, Food & Beverage, and other departments to develop and support strategic campaigns.
- Maintain the annual marketing calendar and oversee the execution of brand, seasonal, and property-level initiatives.
- Ensure all campaigns reflect the standards and service culture expected of a luxury resort.
- Manage the marketing department budget, including agency contracts, media spend, and project costs.
- Review analytics and performance reports to evaluate campaign success and inform future planning.
- Present strategic updates, key wins, and opportunities to executive leadership.
- Uphold and evolve the resort’s brand identity across all marketing touchpoints.
- Ensure consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging across digital, print, and guest-facing platforms.
- Collaborate with creative teams and agencies to maintain luxury standards in all materials.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred.
- 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing agencies and direct reports.
- Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, ideally in luxury hospitality or lifestyle brands.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand development, and performance metrics.
- Experience with budgeting and managing marketing spend across multiple channels.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of luxury brand expectations and Forbes standards is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
