Position Overview:
The General Cashier is responsible for managing all cash transactions within the resort, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strict cash control procedures. This role supports the finance department by handling daily cash deposits, reconciliations, and providing exceptional financial service to both guests and staff in accordance with the resort's policies and luxury service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately count, verify, and reconcile daily cash collections from all resort outlets.
- Prepare and deposit cash and checks into the designated bank accounts.
- Ensure all cash transactions comply with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily cash position reports and submit them to the Finance Manager.
- Record and reconcile all cash transactions in the financial system.
- Assist in month-end financial closing by providing accurate cash reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes.
- Adhere to all internal controls and financial regulations to prevent fraud and discrepancies.
- Ensure the proper handling and safekeeping of cash, checks, and other financial instruments.
- Ensure a high level of customer service consistent with the luxury resort standards.
- Support the finance team with daily administrative tasks.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all cash-related transactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the ream and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a cashier or finance-related role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
