Position Overview:
As a Host at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests in a polite, friendly, and professional manner. The Host ensures that the guest experience is pleasant from the moment guests arrive until they are seated. The Host plays an important role in managing reservations, maintaining a smooth flow of guests, and supporting the front-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival, with a warm, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Manage reservations and ensure accurate communication with guests and servers.
- Keep track of wait times and ensure guests are informed. Maintain an organized system for seating flow.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure guests are seated in a timely manner based on availability and preferences.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally and direct them to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Maintain an organized and clean entrance area.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests.
- Communicate guest preferences, special needs, or requests to the appropriate team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Upbeat, outgoing, and professional personality with strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Must possess computer skills; Guest Center (Opentable) experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
