Position Summary:
The Safety and Asset Protection-Relief Supervisor is a Team Member and guest service-oriented position. The
position consists of supporting the Department Manager and Shift Supervisor on and off their scheduled workdays.
This position will consist of Officer and Supervisor level duties. The objective is to provide a safe work environment
and protect Edgewood’s assets by patrolling all properties, responding to all types of emergencies and incidents,
and ensuring protection and safeguard to all guests, Team Members, and Company assets. The keys to success are
providing exceptional services which create lasting memories for our guests and promoting a safe and healthy work
environment.

Essential Functions:
Supervisory
- Possess clear and concise communication skills.
- Proactively leads department personnel and other team members by setting examples, giving clear direction, and fostering a team-first environment.
- Deliver initial and ongoing training for all department related job functions and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate coaching conversations in accordance with department and Company policy.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding any information or actions in the course and scope of duties.
- Respond to all emergency calls and support management for any emergency needs.
- Aid and coordinate support with outside agencies should response to Edgewood property be needed.
- Responsible for oversight and execution of daily shift operations to include dispatch functions, preparation of written incident reports, daily inspections and patrols of properties, timekeeping, and daily shift briefings.
- May be required to testify (criminal or civil) in court as a representative of Edgewood Tahoe.
Officer
- Complete required shift reporting, monitor relevant systems, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
- Protect all company assets.
- Respond to events within the property including medical situations and other guest or Team Member needs.
- Could be called upon to defuse and or assist with guest disturbances.
- Detect and monitor problems and report information to proper personnel.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence as needed.
- In a timely fashion, write and prepare routine paperwork such as Team Member or guest incident reports.
- Patrol property on foot, in assigned motor vehicle, or other specialized vehicle, as outlined in department standard operating procedures, sometimes independently.
- Support management for any emergency response.
- Successfully complete or maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Effectively self-manage time during periods of high and low business volumes.
Service Experience
- Understand and execute Edgewood Service Standards at the highest level.
- Ensure that the department provides a level of service that exceeds established standards.
- Must possess and maintain a high level of personal accountability related to appearance, vocabulary, and professionalism.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- High school diploma required.
- The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly effective professional with outstanding work-related experience in a hospitality-based environment.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and training of staff.
- Minimum of 1 year of Security or similar based operations is desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and commitment to maintaining an exceptional service experience for external and internal customers.
- Ability to successfully maximize productivity and carry out essential functions of the job without direct supervision.
- Ability to detect problems and report information to proper personnel.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle and/or similar equipment and maintain a current valid driver’s license.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or EMT certification a plus.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. Bilingual a plus.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Proficiency in operation of computers and associated systems.
- Ability to prepare, organize, and report data on and generated by computer.
- Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Respectful of others' time and is reliable for showing up to work on predesignated dates and times.
