- Install, program, and configure security systems including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV systems
- Design and implement network infrastructure to support security systems, including TCP/IP networking, switches, and wireless technologies
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on security equipment and systems
- Configure and maintain video management software (VMS) and network video recorders (NVR)
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems and networks
- Program and maintain alarm panels, keypads, and monitoring systems
- Document system installations, modifications, and maintenance activities
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Ensure all installations meet relevant codes and industry standards
- Field-based position requiring travel to client sites throughout the country
- May require working at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors
- On-call rotation for emergency response
- Some evening and weekend work may be required
- 3 years experience in security system installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, and access control technologies
- Proven experience with IP networking, including switching, routing, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of various transmission methods (IP, wireless, fiber optic)
- Experience with major security system manufacturers' products
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
- Industry certifications (ESA, NICET, manufacturer certifications)
- Experience with enterprise video management systems
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation
- Background in IT networking
- Experience with integration of various security subsystems
