We are hiring for a Senior Estimator position with a highly respected, family-owned commercial general contractor in New York City. With over 100 years in business, our client focuses primarily on interior construction/build-outs and is a privately held company known for its longstanding reputation in the industry.
Our client is looking for a Senior Estimator with extensive experience in New York City commercial projects. Due to the complexities and unique challenges of NYC construction, it is crucial that candidates have hands-on experience estimating projects within the city.
Key Requirements:
- Commercial Estimation Experience (Interior & Exterior) in New York City: Must have a proven track record of estimating interior and exterior commercial projects in NYC.
- Experience with General Contractors: Prior experience working with a general contractor is required.
- Multicultural Environment: Comfortable working with a diverse team, including international colleagues, and adapting to various communication styles across cultures.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with both local and overseas team members.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate and detailed commercial estimates for interior and exterior projects in New York City.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to prepare bids and proposals.
- Review project drawings, blueprints, and specifications to provide accurate cost estimates.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support vendor and subcontractor selection and assist with recommendations to ensure project success.
Compensation:
Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000, based on experience.
