IS Asset Manager

MAJOR FUNCTION:
The IT Asset Manager manages, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e.., hardware and software) throughout their life cycles, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Manager designs, develops, and implements the organization's asset management strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
" Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in managing IT assets.
" 2 years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or related roles.
" Experience in developing business cases, conducting vendor negotiations, and managing vendor relationships.
Certification/ Licensure:
" ITAM preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
" In-depth knowledge of IT technologies, including hardware, software, networking equipment, and licensing.
" Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
" Strong budgeting skills and the ability to make informed decisions regarding fund allocation.

Position Responsibilities
" Manage IT hardware and software asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
" Formulate and implement procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.
" Leads the search for an Asset Tracking Software solution and manage the install and deployment of the solution.
" Plan and implement IT hardware asset life cycle strategy.
" Serve as IT hardware asset management subject matter expert.
" Optimize usage and cost of IT hardware deployments.
" Manage acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets.
" Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient utilization, tracking, security, and proper disposal of IT assets.
" Collaborate with the Technology team to manage participation in the Asset Tracking solution. " Develop and maintain company policies and processes.
" Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in I T asset management
