What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onsite Cobol/EDI Developer position at EDI Staffing?
Responsible for supporting application and data needs of our customers and clients. The successful candidate will provide application development in a mainframe COBOL environment. The Developer will provide technical support of several enterprise COBOL applications and EDI systems, including the design, development and implementation of enhancements and new capabilities. Will be supporting the mainframe / legacy environment.
- Supports the technical deliverables for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of EDI solutions.
- Interpret business requirements; design, build and test processes to ensure a high level of data quality and optimal system performance.
- Leads technical troubleshooting in support of critical business applications.
- Responsible for technical documentation that includes architecture diagrams, process flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Provides status updates of work progress to the team and management.
- Supports the definition, scope and technical estimates for portions of large complex projects.
- Develop a good working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences.
- Partner with other team members as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions.
