Location: This position will be located at our Lubbock, TX Corporate Store located at 8215 University Ave #130, Lubbock, TX 79423

Purpose:

As a Store Manager at Edible, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing our customers' needs, delivering innovative solutions that delight and inspire. 

In this role, you’ll lead the store's overall operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, driving sales performance, and upholding our commitment to brand excellence. You'll provide strong, supportive leadership for your team, helping each member reach their full potential and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment. 

You'll cultivate and maintain robust business relationships within the local community and with other businesses, spreading joy and driving sales. Join us in building lifelong local relationships with our customers and helping them create happy moments in all aspects of their lives. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Leadership and Team Development: Recruit, hire, lead and provide strong leadership for team members, fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment. Bring out the best in individuals and create a culture of energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and fun.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the execution of exceptional operational practices, striving to exceed sales and service goals. Ensure compliance with all food safety procedures, cash handling protocols, and company policies.
  • Sales and Profitability: Achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals through effective team management, sales tactics, and performance analysis. Adjust strategies as needed to meet and exceed targets.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strong business relationships within the local community and with other businesses to drive sales and establish Edible® as a community staple. Support community initiatives and enhance local market presence.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Test and implement new processes, best practices, and operational workflows. Provide feedback to corporate leadership on the effectiveness of these initiatives.
  • Communication and Performance Management: Clearly and concisely communicate performance expectations and changes in business to team members. Monitor and analyze performance against key performance indicators and adjust tactics as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee management of perishable and non-perishable inventory, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Experience: Utilize strong decision-making skills to resolve customer issues effectively and maintain a high standard of customer service.
  • Marketing: Craft and execute a premium local marketing plan, inclusive of a social media strategy that elevates brand presence, engages affluent customers, and drives traffic to both online and brick-and-mortar stores, while maintaining the brand's image across all platforms.

Requirements: 

  • Retail Management Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the gifting or specialty food industry.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Operational Knowledge: Proficient in managing store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and manage budgets, financial reports, and key performance indicators.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and demands.

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Valid State Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking around.
  • Limited to moderate sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
