Purpose:
You’ll be responsible for delivering an excellent guest experience and ensuring a seamless, joyful in-store journey—whether guests are ordering Edible Arrangements, grabbing coffee, or picking flowers.
In this hybrid role, you'll actively lead store operations as a shift supervisor while also serving as the in-house floral expert. From creating stunning floral arrangements to preparing Edible Arrangements and supporting the coffee counter, you’ll be hands-on in every part of the store.
This role blends operational leadership with creativity, ensuring the entire customer experience—and the floral business—thrive under one roof. You’ll work closely with customers, fellow associates, and the General Manager to bring the Edible brand to life in every interaction.
Store Location: This role will be based out of our up-coming remodeled Next-Gen Corporate Store in New Haven, CT

Responsibilities:
- Greet and connect with every customer, identifying customer needs and appropriately suggesting products to enhance the customer experience
- Accept and process customer orders via phone, through walk-ins, and via the online platform
- Prepare and package a variety of edible products, following approved procedures and proper portion sizes
- Create high-quality floral arrangements for various occasions, including birthdays, weddings, sympathy, and everyday gifting
- Collaborate with customers to design custom bouquets and offer thoughtful floral recommendations
- Maintain floral inventory, ensuring freshness, proper storage, and minimal waste
- Organize and display floral products with accurate pricing and attractive presentation
- Keep the floral workspace clean, organized, and aligned with brand aesthetics
- Lead and motivate store associates during assigned shifts to deliver a consistently excellent customer experience
- Supervise daily operations, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion of store duties
- Serve as the point person for problem-solving and customer escalations in the absence of the General Manager
- Support training and onboarding of new team members
- Enforce safety, food sanitation, and operational procedures in compliance with brand and regulatory standards
- Greet and connect with every customer in a warm, professional manner
- Help customers select Edible Arrangements products and suggest add-ons to enhance their experience
- Work collaboratively with General Manager & team members to ensure a seamless in-store experience
- Maintain high store standards in cleanliness, organization, and product qualit
Requirements:
- Proven floral design experience (retail florist, event florist, or boutique floral shop)
- Ability to create high-quality floral arrangements for a variety of occasions
- 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or shift lead role, preferably in retail, food service, or hospitality
- Strong customer service and sales skills, with a genuine passion for guest experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality control
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment (e.g., food prep, floral design, POS/order taking)
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food handling or ServSafe certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct frequent lifting, carrying and/or pushing objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and scooping throughout assigned shifts.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 85% of the work shift.
