Summary
Shift Leaders ensure proper shift flow without the direct interaction of the General Manager. The Shift Leader to be the second in command after management and is considered a back-up manager in case of emergency. The Shift Leader supervises the shift from start to finish, ensuring that the team is upholding Roti’s high hospitality service and operational standards. The Shift Leader has a solid understanding of the staff’s strengths and weaknesses and is capable of establishing solid working relationships with the teammates. The Shift Leader is the leader of the staff and acts as the connection between the co-workers and management.

Job Responsibilities
- Establishes Rōti standards and expectations with team members and always leads by example.
- Confident and assertively engage the team by delegating tasks and follows up with team members to ensure proper execution
- Effectively open and close the restaurant at least twice per week.
- Hands-on assistance in training and development of new and existing employees.
- Enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a team oriented attitude. This person will be able to maintain a positive VIBE so our guests have an amazing experience as soon as they walk into our doors!

- Maintain restaurant cleanliness in accordance with company standards.
- Assures sanitation standards are maintained in accordance with State Food Safety, OSHA, local health regulations. Additionally, ensures restaurant equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.
- Manager State Food Safety and Allergen certification is required.
- Ensures compliance with Health, Fire, Labor Department and local municipalities.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
- Must be confident and assertive in order to effectively demonstrate leadership skills and communicate responsibilities to the rest of the team.

- Must have excellent hospitality & communication skills.
- Previous restaurant management experience is preferred.
- May be required to close/open the restaurant, open availability is required.
- Experience with cash handling safety procedures and closing, is a plus.
- Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift (up to 35.0 hours / week) . Our Team Members are constantly moving to ensure quality customer service for all our guests.
- Must be able to bend and reach overhead often, possess dexterity to handle cooking equipment, and work in kitchen temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
- Must be able to squat, lift, and push up to 50 lbs.
