We Are Seeking
The Edina School Board seeks an interim superintendent from mid April 2025 through June 30th, 2026 with the following qualities and characteristics:
Continuity, Culture, and Strategic Execution: Believes in and exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of Edina Public Schools. Demonstrates a passion for fostering excellence, equity and innovation in education. A strong project manager and executor of strategy with a commitment to continuing implementation of the district’s current strategic plan with measurable results and strengthening existing structures and frameworks.
Familiarity with Edina and/or Similar Metro Area Schools: Demonstrated experience working in administration in districts in the Lake Conference, within Edina Public Schools or within other similar sized, high performing, suburban districts. Knowledge of and experience with Edina’s strategic plan, culture, and organizational frameworks is preferred.
Relationship Builder and Communicator: A skilled communicator and community builder at all levels, including students, staff, families, board, and community members.
Collaborative and Adaptive Leadership: A leader who is interested in harnessing, guiding and nurturing existing talent within the district, while respecting their subject matter expertise. A true collaborator, who actively seeks input and partnership with others, including the board, in pursuit of common goals.

Valid State of Minnesota License to serve as Superintendent of Schools.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this interim position is $252,000 for the 2024-2025 year, prorated for the remainder of the current year. The 12-month salary for the 2025-2026 year will be $259,000.
