The digital product owner is responsible for the overall execution and delivery of website enhancements, features and other digital properties, as needed. This role will work to define, manage and deliver product priorities, aligned to a roadmap based on EdinaRealty.com’s strategy and vision. You will be a key point of contact on the web team, working closely with development teams, UX/UI designers, content and business stakeholders to deliver on priorities, ensure successful rollout and inform the future of our digital products, including the company website, agent websites and the Edina Realty mobile app.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days working at our corporate office in Edina, MN.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage website development and enhancement projects (50%)
- Work cross-functionally to define and write user stories, acceptance criteria and
- Coordinate product efforts among external vendors and internal resources
- Attend agile ceremonies to keep development focused and on track, sign off on completed work and hold team accountable to timelines and scope
- Support product production and delivery, ensuring that priorities, schedules, budget and business goals and deadlines are met
- Triage and prioritize bug fixes
- Manage and prioritize product backlog
- Facilitate product roll out and communication strategies
- Analyze website analytics and report on metrics to stakeholders
2. Release coordination, testing and validation (20%)
- Coordinate with automated and third-party user testing to manage QA
- Regression testing to ensure integrity of code releases
- Validate releases to verify delivery of the release components without unintended degradation in functionality, performance or UX/UI
- UAT to verify the release achieves strategic and UX/UI goals
- Coordinate with the broader team to plan releases including communications, training and marketing
3. Collaborate with primary stakeholders and conduct user research to develop concepts and inform product roadmaps (20%)
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop new product initiatives
- Conduct consumer usability testing
- Collect and share user feedback with scrum team and steering committee
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis
- Facilitate ideas portal to analyze and advance enhancement requests from consumers, agents and stakeholders
4. Support website tagging and success metrics (10%)
- Define KPIs and analytics requirements for web development projects
- Test tagging functionality via Google Tag Manager
- Leverage GA4 to uncover site performance insights
- Create data dashboards to report on key metrics pre- and post-release
5. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience
Basic Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience developing and defining digital solutions on a fast-paced website or technology team
- Proven ability to prioritize and identify critical paths to meet deadlines, given many stakeholder inputs and variables
- Working knowledge of Jira, or similar project management platforms
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience with various Content Management Systems (CMSs)
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong technical aptitude and fluency
- Acute attention to detail and the ability to foresee potential implications – positive or negative – of changes made to the website and mobile app
Preferred Experience:
- 3 years’ experience working as a product owner or business analyst
- Familiarity with agile development methodology
- Experience and understanding of the software development cycle, design research and web analytics
- Solid understanding of customer-facing website user experiences
- Proven ability to translate customer requirements and feedback into effective online experiences, including story writing and managing sprints
- Understanding of website development components: information architecture, HTML, CSS Javascript, etc.
- Desire to stay on top of emerging industry trends and new technologies
- Proficient or certified in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Looker Studio
- Working knowledge of Applause, Rainforest or similar QA service and platform, preferred
- Familiarity with usertesting.com preferred
- Real estate industry experience a plus

Wage: $90,000 - $100,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
