What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Bus Driver position at Edinburg Common School?
- Safely operate a bus or van to transport students/passengers to their destinations
- Follow designated routes and schedules
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students/passengers during transit
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet current health and physical requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Fingerprint clearance
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) with S & P endorsements
- Previous experience as a bus driver, van driver, or school bus driver preferred
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to interact with students/passengers in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and responsibly
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
