- Responsible for the maintenance and operation of child nutrition equipment.
- Responsible for reporting any deviation from normal operation of the equipment to the Director of Child Nutrition.
- Responsible for implementing a preventive maintenance program for the Child Nutrition Department.
- Responsible for ordering and receiving equipment parts and supplies.
- Responsible for parts and supplies inventory.
- Observes safety practice at all times in performing duties.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- District vehicles, electric power tools, telephone, calculator and computer, large and small kitchen equipment to include, but not limited to: electric slicer, mixer, pressure steamer, braising pans, sharp cutting tools, ovens dishwashers, and food utility carts
- Strenuous walking ,standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, working inside and outside, exposure to extreme weather conditions, working in high places, working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, working on ladders and scaffolding

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Child Nutrition Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance and operation of food service equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED
Electrical Journeyman’s license preferred
Electrical Master license preferred
Knowledgeable in equipment repair
Minimum five (5) years experience with reputable company
Able to read blueprints and schematics
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable
Capable of working well with others
