Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and urgent care facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, anatomy knowledge, and basic life support skills to ensure the highest quality of service for our patients.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Front office knowledge or trainable.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment, including sterilization of instruments.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Support emergency medical procedures as needed in urgent care settings.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and internal medicine practices.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to healthcare.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.

Pay: $22.26 - $23.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
