Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician and back office medical assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The X-ray Technician will work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images.
- Maintain and operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
- Assist in the training of new staff or students in radiology practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging technologies.
- Drug Testing
- Vitals and rooming patients.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques, including X-ray, CT, sonography, and mammography.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to radiology and patient care.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as the ER.
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist is required.

Pay: $32.58 - $34.57 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
