Job Title : Senior Water Resources Manager

Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Water Resources Manager to lead water and wastewater projects from inception through completion. This leadership role involves significant client interaction, overseeing project execution, and managing a dynamic team of professionals. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in business development, working within the seller-doer model to cultivate relationships, secure new projects, and ensure successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Leadership : Lead and manage water and wastewater projects across all phases, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
  • Client Interaction : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, project managers, and technical professionals. Foster a collaborative work environment to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Business Development : Participate in business development activities to drive project acquisition. Act as a seller-doer by actively pursuing new business, preparing proposals, and engaging in networking efforts to expand the firm's presence in the water resources sector.
  • Project Management : Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources. Ensure projects meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise : Provide expert guidance on complex water resources issues, including hydrology, water supply, wastewater treatment, and environmental regulations.
  • Quality Control and Risk Management : Ensure the highest standards of quality control and risk management practices are adhered to throughout all project phases.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring all projects comply with necessary permits, standards, and environmental policies.
  • Reporting and Documentation : Prepare and review reports, presentations, and project documentation for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater project management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Technical Skills : Expertise in water resources engineering, including experience with hydraulic modeling, water / wastewater treatment systems, and environmental regulations.
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate teams of professionals. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Client Relationship Management : Strong track record of client relationship building and management, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Project Management : Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
