In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Engineering Manager to design cutting-edge building automation systems and provide technical support to installation teams and programmers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive building automation systems based on project plans, specifications, scope of work, and estimates.
- Develop equipment flow diagrams, controller layouts, wiring schematics, and network risers using Microsoft Visio and Smartware Studio.
- Prepare valve and damper schedules in Microsoft Excel.
- Create detailed sequences of operations in Microsoft Word.
- Assist in resolving scope deviations or project changes to maintain client satisfaction and project budgets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ongoing projects.
- Draft and submit RFIs for any unclear or conflicting project details.
- Support the Project Manager by addressing technical inquiries from mechanical contractors and clients.
- Select cost-effective materials that meet job specifications and stay within budget.
- Provide ongoing technical support to installers and programmers throughout construction.
- Conduct site visits to assess field conditions when required.
- Finalize accurate as-built documentation using redlines from field teams.
- Collaborate with the sales team during the project development phase as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a task-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage work effectively to meet project deadlines.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
