Job Summary
Edison State Community College is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in GASB pronouncements and GAAP.
- Prepares financial statements for the President's Cabinet and Board of Trustees in a timely manner.
- Develops and implements accounting and internal control procedures for payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervises the Grants, Compliance and Reporting Accountant and ensures personnel working on grants are in accordance with College policies.
- Reviews and approves all student appeals for tuition refunds and performs analysis of bad debt accruals/write-offs.
Required Experience
- Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of internal control best practices.
