We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Collection Systems team as aBusiness Systems Analyst, Library Systemswithin Getty Digital’s Collection Platforms & Data department.This position reports to the Product Manager, Library & Archival Systems and works closely with staff from across the organization, including librarians, archivists, subject-matter experts, and technologists, to help manage, coordinate, and carry out technical work within our library systems. This role also evaluates application issues, provides application assistance to a large group of stakeholders, and keeps documentation updated. The successful candidate must be a California resident when employment begins and must work at least one day per week on Getty’s campus.Major Job ResponsibilitiesProvide support for Alma, Ex Libris’ library management service platformProvide support for ILLiad, OCLC and Atlas’ interlibrary loan applicationProvide support for Springshare suite of library applications (LibApps)Performs tasks related to library systems projectsConducts research on best practices, standards and case studies related to library systemsCollaborates with program staff and application vendor support to optimize systemsEvaluates library-related data and system configurations to resolve reported issuesAssist in testing system upgrades and enhancements in sandbox environment, develop testing scripts, and coordinate testing with staffDocuments user requirements and develops end-user documentation and user facing knowledge articlesFollows department proceduresQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience0-2 years experience with IT systemsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience working with library systems, preferably in the academic or cultural heritage domains.Direct experience with Alma (library management system), ILLiad and / or Springshare is highly desirable.Knowledge of current and emerging library technologies, metadata standards, workflows, and best practicesExperience remediating metadata in different formats and standards, including MARC and EADProficiency with HTML, CSS, XML, and XSLTExperience working with and using Python and APIs, preferred (will require developing this expertise)Interest in developing service design and product management skillsAbility to learn new technologies and tools quickly, as neededSkilled at creating and maintaining documentationCreative problem-solving and curiosityAbility to work under little to no supervisionStrong communication skills, and the ability to adapt communication to varying audiencesTact, diplomacy, and ability to work with a wide variety of audiences, including the ability to quickly develop good working relationships within a large organizationBenefits and PerksHere are just some examples that Getty offers / provides for full-time employees : Medical, Dental and Vision insurance coverage, starting on date of hire.
