About the Position

If this sounds like you, consider working for Skyhawks. Since 1979, Skyhawks has been offering year-round classes and camps to children between the ages of 6 and 14 years old. The sports include baseball, basketball, flag football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track & field. Morning, afternoon and evening hours are available.
We are looking for people who are highly motivated, energetic and enjoy teaching children life skills through sports. WAGE $15.00
Summer work is available
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Six months of experience working with kids
Other Requirements
- Must possess the ability to hold/obtain a Valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card by the time of hire.
- Must be First-aid/CPR certified or have the ability to obtain certification after hire - (Company provided)
- Cell phones are also a requirement
- Must be able to work Monday thru Friday, mornings and evenings. All day work in the summer for our day camps
- You should love working with kids and bring boundless enthusiasm to the job
- Capable of transporting equipment – you’ll have equipment through the duration of the program and will be responsible for maintaining it
- Reliable transportation
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Assist in planning and implementation of academic, enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students.
- Assist tutoring of students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas.
- Work effectively with students in after school activities and assist with behavior management, discipline, interpersonal actions, and act as a role model.
- Support environments that are safe, healthy, and conducive to student learning.
- Promote participation of students, school staff, volunteers, and parents.
- Local travel to other schools as necessary to fulfill after school program needs.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Site Program Administrator or Site Coordinator.
