What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit Coordinator position at Edmonton State Bank?
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the Internal Auditor in fulfillment of the bank’s audit program
- Coordinate with the bank’s third-party auditors and examiners to fulfill request lists necessary for audit completion
- Communicate with bank personnel in obtaining the necessary information for audit requests
- Assist Internal Auditor in completion of internal audit duties in various areas of the bank
- Assist bank personnel with inquiries concerning audit findings and recommendations
- Assist with tracking of audit findings and status of audit scheduling
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and Excel, bank information systems, and Internet research when appropriate
- Ability to communicate effectively with third-party auditors and bank personnel
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to manage time and be efficient and effective in the compliance of assignments
- At least 2 years of experience in banking, accounting or finance
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Position operates in a professional office environment
- Routine use of standard office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, photocopiers, calculators, and filing cabinets
- Must be able to remain sedentary 50% of the time
- Employee will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
