Overview
The Coating Technician, Level I is responsible for the front end and back end of the coating production process as well as some aspects of coating machine maintenance. The Coating Technician, Level I performs their duties under the direction of their supervisor or manager. 2nd shift hours are Monday - Thursday, 3 : 00pm - 1 : 30am.
Responsibilities
Setup, load, unload and maintain coating fixtures
- Organize and maintain consumables and maintenance supplies
- Perform visual inspections of pre and post-coated optics for defects
- Measure finished parts using a variety of metrology equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance procedures on coating chamber shielding in preparation for a cleanroom environment.
- Will be required to use shop and power tools
- Participate in 6S activities which include but are not limited to cleaning, organizing, sweeping, and mopping work area
- May be required to use a ladder
- Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
- Other duties as assigned
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations

Physical Requirements :
Adequate manual dexterity to perform essential functions; ability to use some physical efforts in the handling of heavy materials and machinery (most tasks require no more than 50 lbs. lifting); position requires about 80% standing; ability to work in manufacturing environment.
