SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: (Essential functions with other duties and projects assigned as needed.)
Key point of contact between Carcoustics and customer from development through SOP (launch), supporting Teams and onsite customer meetings as required.
Lead internal weekly team meetings, reviewing timing, open issues, budgets, and completion of Release Gate deliverables.
Develop and maintain master project timing plan inclusive of customer and internal requirements.
Develop and maintain master open issues list inclusive of customer and internal requirements.
Develop and manage project tooling budget in SAP. Responsible for invoicing tooling upon successful Customer PPAP.
Lead prototype build process to include material ordering, build scheduling (with plant), part shipment to customer, and part invoicing.
Lead implementation of customers’ and internally driven product changes through SOP.
Lead Release Gate process for each assigned project. Responsible to collect all deliverables and submit for Release Gate approval on time.
Ensure on-time Supplier and Customer PPAP’s and approvals.
Maintain project gross margin for parts and tools as defined by company.
Weekly/monthly project reporting as required.
Support post-SOP engineering changes as required/assigned.
EDUCATION:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or business-related field.
PMI certification is a plus, but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years of Project/Program Management experience in the automotive industry.
Additional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchasing is a plus.
SKILLS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to perform risk management/mitigation as required.
Ability to develop and manage project budgets (tooling and capital).
Proficient in the use of MS Office software, including MS Project.
Ability to successfully interact/interface with all levels within the organization, including direct communication with executive leadership.
TRAVEL:
~20% business travel to customer sites, suppliers, or internal plants to support meetings and customer builds/launches as required.
Also resposible for:
Leading the BMW G65, thermoformed parts.
Leading ongoing engineering changes for BMW, Daimler, Mercedes.
Leading post-launch engineering changes as needed.
Supporting Purchasing and Plant teams with implementation of PCIP savings initiatives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
